Tarrant County Courage to Teach

Board of Advocates

The Board of Advocates has been created as a network of those “kindred spirits” most interested in enlarging the work of Tarrant County Courage to Teach. The Board meets as a group several times throughout each year; individual members are encouraged to participate in efforts on behalf of Courage to Teach on an ongoing basis.

The Board of Advocates is charged to:

Review and advise regarding emerging program needs and opportunities
Provide a point of accountability for the staffing and financial aspects of the effort
Educate those individuals within their circles of influence regarding the benefits of personal and professional renewal for educators
Encourage others to support Courage to Teach with money, referral of participants, venues, access to educators, etc.
Provide leadership to change to a more positive and supportive discourse about public education and educators
Commit to doing the business of Courage to Teach in a manner that models the principles and practices of Courage to Teach
Share their own professional and personal lives
