Courage to Teach: A Seasonal Retreat Series for Educators

In large-group, small-group and solitary settings, a cohort of 20 to 30 educators (both teachers and administrators) explore the "heart of the teacher" by making use of stories from their own journeys, reflections on classroom practice, insights from poets, storytellers and diverse wisdom traditions. Participants are invited to speak honestly about their lives and work and to listen and respond to each other - and to themselves - with compassion and encouragement. Because inner work takes time, participants are asked to commit to faithful attendance at each of the retreats.

"I reached a point a few years ago where I began to wonder if I should leave the educational profession. Through this experience with Courage to Teach, I have been able to regain my heart for teaching." - Courage to Teach retreat participant.
